Do you know Jesus? He wants to know you!
God loved you so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus, to die in your place and offer you forgiveness for your sins. Jesus came to earth, lived a perfect, sinless life, and willingly died for you. But, the good news is He rose again, is alive today, and wants a relationship with you. He offered His life so that you can be forgiven and have the free gift of eternal life. It costs you nothing, but it means everything.
Sin? You? Yes, you, me and everyone. Sin is disobeying God. Everyone has sinned, and it is sin that keeps us from having a relationship with God. Jesus' death was the ultimate sacrifice that paid the price for our sin and allows us to know God.
Here are some helpful verses for you to understand salvation:
- Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
- Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrates His own love toward us, that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
- Romans 10:9-10 - If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
- Romans 10:13 - for "Whoever will call upon the Name of the Lord will be saved."
God loves you and cares about you more than you will ever know. In John 3:16, God told us how much He loves us: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." That's amazing! A perfect and holy God sent His perfect and holy Son to die for us.
Don't think you aren't good enough to accept God's love and salvation. And don't think that it means a boring life. Jesus told us in John 10:10 that "...I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly."
If you are searching and know that something is missing in your life, trust Jesus. If you are haunted by your past, know that Jesus loves you just the way you are and accept Him. Let Him make you blameless and give you new life. He wants to. All you have to do is ask.
